Women against men! – some men opinion about feminsim

5 Mar

An attempt at a discrimination graphic.

Here is an interesting take on feminism\feminists.

This external website (Men’s rights and dignity are being undermined.)  put men in focus and the (much too common misinterpretation) alleged anti-men stance of feminist agendas.

One should be careful when conceptualising feminism as a collective framework against men by women, for that is nothing but a sweeping statement that lacks both academic and social support. Good intentions on  highlighting legal and social discrimination and oppression against men.

Nevertheless, I think it makes an important point.

This is an important misunderstanding that needs to be addressed and re-conceptualised immediately and feminists (men and women) need to set their story straight once and for all.

I  too often come across this sort of interpretation of feminism; that there is a general understanding and interpretation of feminism which conceptualises it as an active movement against men, while in fact it SHOULD be far from it.

Trans-sexual balance and cooperation between sexes and genders ought to be the concern for all.

Men’s rights and dignity are being undermined.

Extract from the website’s author statement :

” This site (Men’s rights and dignity are being undermined.) was born out of a frustration of seeing rampant discrimination against men and festering misandry with little or no public response.

Being a fair-minded person, I find this not only offensive but alarming that the majority of (western) society is either blissfully ignorant of what’s going on, or in the case of misandrists – gleefully cheering it on.

Therefore, the main purpose of this site (Men’s rights and dignity are being undermined.) is to bring awareness to the ongoing discrimination against men and the assault on their dignity.

Undoubtedly, there will be people who think that this is nonsense, they will think “there is no discrimination against men”, or “there is no assault on men’s dignity – it’s the women who are continually being discriminated against or being humiliated”. To those people, I say “Welcome, this site (Men’s rights and dignity are being undermined.) will hopefully make you more aware of what’s actually happening in our society”.

That’s not to say that there aren’t any injustices to women; however, there are legions of women’s groups, organizations and government departments fighting those causes already, whereas there’s nothing to speak of that’s addressing men’s issues. This site (Men’s rights and dignity are being undermined.) is therefore aimed at addressing men’s issues. ”

Mens Rights Activists and Men Rights Movement take care of men’s issues? They also discriminate against feminists and women. Patriarchy is the discriminator of men and women. You are educating men and women on mens’ issues. What mens’ issues will you be discussing?

      Dear freepussyriot,

I have no intention on discussing any men’s issue, at least not yet.
This post was commenting(criticising) an external website.
Because it has been published it here doesn’t meant I share its views.
Thank you for your comment, it made me realise that the wording of the article could lead to misunderstanding.

      Best,

      Victor

That’s ok. I may have misinterpreted it due to low mood. I’d been under threat by MRAs lately and debating with a woman on Twitter so I may have been hungry for blood. Great site BTW.

Okay, well I am sorry that this time I could not satisfy your thirstiness.
Please continue visiting the site… It may provide with some blood one day.
I check your blog. It’s pretty awesome.
Keep calm and carry on fighting, sis !!

Why gratitude. With thanks. Keeping calm is the key here, right! I think it’s a good idea we embrace men’s issues underneath the umbrella of feminism. We have enough male feminists and males supporters to embrace this and I’m all for that. Feminism needs a rebrand. It is still confusing to some.
